Forestry mulching grinds brush and small trees in place with a single machine, leaving a layer of mulch on the ground — a fast, low-disturbance way to clear land without dozing, piling, or burning.

Excavation is the controlled removal and placement of soil to prepare a site for construction — from foundations and basements to utilities, driveways, and drainage.

From first conversation to handoff
Every property is different. The sequence stays understandable from the first conversation through the handoff.
Share the property, intended use, plans, timing, and the problems the work needs to solve.
We review access, visible conditions, material handling, protection needs, and how the work connects to other trades.
The scope states what is included, what affects the schedule, and what information or approvals are still needed.
Work proceeds to the agreed limits and handoff condition, with changes discussed before the scope moves.

FAQ
We're based in Princeton, Minnesota, and work across Central Minnesota and the greater Twin Cities metro — from the northwest metro suburbs through Wright, Sherburne, and Hennepin counties and the Lake Minnetonka area. If you're not sure whether your project is in range, call 763-587-3440 and ask.
Call us or send the quote form with a short description of your project. A site walk may be needed before quoting because access, excavation volume, material handling, and restoration affect the scope.
JL Landworx serves homeowners, builders, and commercial project teams, from a single boulder wall or driveway to coordinated site development for new construction.
Yes — that's the advantage of hiring a site contractor instead of three separate ones. We can clear the lot, excavate to plan, manage drainage, and leave the site at rough grade, so you coordinate with one company instead of several.
Most site work runs spring through fall. Frozen ground and spring thaw can limit access and digging, and saturated sites sometimes have to wait. Winter clearing is often possible. Ask about timing for your specific site when you request a quote.
Know the work limits and point out anything buried that is not covered by public utility marking, such as private well lines, septic components, invisible fence, or irrigation. Required locates and project approvals must be confirmed before digging.
